The Write Place was founded in 2013 to connect organizations and businesses with effective communication tools and funding opportunities to further their goals. The diversity of our clients makes our work so enjoyable, working with sibling entrepreneurs one day, a youth-led grassroots organization the next, and meeting with filmmakers on the weekend, all looking to grow their mission. Our clients are all change makers, and we are honored to support them in shaping and reimaging the world we live in.

Camille Mohamed
Lead consultant and founder
Camille has over 15+ years experience, focused on community development and creating equitable spaces. She is the CEO of York Region Women’s Foundation, where she utilizes her skills to support racialized and marginalized women and girls.
Camille holds a Master of Arts in Psychology and a certificate in Crisis Intervention and Counselling.
With her success in developing impactful programs and securing funding for prominent non-profits, Camille realized many community organizations were struggling to find the financial resources they required to support their work. In 2013 she formally launched, The Write Place, a consulting agency dedicated to supporting her clients in changing the world through effective communication.
Camille has successfully secured grants from private, provincial and federal streams. She has obtained 5M + (and counting) in funding for entrepreneurs, small businesses, charities and non-profits.
In recognition of her oustanding contributions, Camille was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award in 2022.
